ice-cream-cone cupcakes

Submitted by the wicked noodle on January 31, 2009 – 12:30 pmOne Comment

What child doesn’t love a good ice cream cone?  Heck, what adult doesn’t love a good ice cream cone?  These ice-cream-cone cupcakes have it all – oh, except the ice cream.  That’s why you serve it on the side!  You really can have it all!

  • Prepare batter for cupcakes per instructions on the box.
  • Pour batter into flat-bottomed ice cream cones so they are about 3/4 full; if you fill the cones too much, the cakes will not have a nice, round top.
  • Place the cones on a baking sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes.
  • Cool and frost, then decorate with sprinkles as desired.
