I’ve tasted Sasquatch…and he’s delicious!

jerkycom-sasquatch-jerkyOne of the sentences I never thought I’d actually utter at any point during my lifetime?  “Damn, that was some fine Sasquatch meat!”  But life is weird and wonderful, so sasquatch meat it is.

Doug, a super cool guy over at jerky.com, first approached me about trying some of their delicious jerky a few weeks ago.  I’m a serious meat lover, and jerky is no exception, so of course I jumped at the chance.  It was business as usual…until he mentioned Sasquatch.

Personally, I’ve always wondered about Sasquatch – or Bigfoot, as I grew up calling him – and the likelihood of his existence.  Scientists are constantly discovering new species from every corner of the planet, and it never seemed that outrageous that a reclusive beast might very well live in the mountains and blend in with nature to the point that he might never be seen.  So it really didn’t surprise me much to find out that Sasquatch is now on the menu…and very delicious!

This was actually the most tender jerky I’d ever had.  I’m not sure if it’s the Sasquatch meat itself or how they marinate it, but the meat wasn’t too chewy and the flavors lovely.  It’s extremely expensive due to the limited quantities – well out of my tiny budget, although they do throw in free shipping – but if you’re hungry to taste an urban myth turned reality, then I highly suggest trying a bag before they’re out of sight again.
