Toward the end of last year, I began using Peapod delivery for my groceries. After I’d used the service a few times, I shared with you some of the things I love most about it, such as making personalized lists and easily adding past orders to my cart. And as I’ve continued to use Peapod delivery, I’ve discovered even more things about it that I love!
For starters, let’s talk about how we, as parents or hard-working people or even if we just tend to get distracted, there might be times when we don’t always finish every task in one sitting (understatement of the year, right?)! Here’s a great example of how Peapod helped me get my shopping done last week, even when I was distracted with a zillion different things.
They sent me THIS:
I’d spent a few minutes the day before filling my shopping cart with my usual food suspects. And then promptly forgot about it. The thing is…I had some great deals in that cart that I didn’t want to let slip away. So I loved that 1) Peapod saves my cart so I can start and stop as often as I need to and 2) that they remind me that the sales are about to change, so I’d better finish up. So awesome!
Here’s awesome reminder they send me, but this one is after my order is placed. Often when I order, I won’t be available for delivery as soon as they’re available, so I’ll schedule it for a few days out. As I know you know…a lot can change in the span of a few days. Maybe we decided to go to dinner on Saturday instead of cooking that big meal, or my kids ate the last of the spinach (haha, yeah right!) and are begging me to order more. Peapod will remind me that I can still make changes to my shopping cart and what that deadline is.
And I’ve been using the Peapod app recently too! Having access to my shopping cart through my phone has been indispensable. How many times are you out somewhere and the thought crosses your mind that you’re out of paper towels again? Or just about anything you can think of? I’ll just add it to my cart right there! No more shopping lists that need to be transferred, I can skip that step entirely. Love it!
Here are a few things in particular that I love about shopping with the Peapod app. First, I can fill my cart with my last order. Which has been such a huge time saver for me! Sure, there are usually a few items I don’t want to order again. But it’s easier to add it all in one click then delete the few I don’t need again that week than it is to order it all one by one (and have to remember it all, too).
Similar to filling my cart is the feature that allows my past purchases to be “analyzed” and get suggestions based on those purchases. It’s not only an easy way to see things I like but it’s fun to discover products I may not have ordered otherwise.
I’m not one who must have every item on my list be organic. But there are some things I insist upon and the app makes it simple to shop for them.
I mentioned how much I love their meal kits when I talked about Peapod delivery last time. The app has some great ways to add my meals on-the-go. Plus, how yummy do this week’s meals sound??
Peapod delivery has been a game-changer for me. Look, with the line of work I’m in, I hit up the grocery store most days. But Peapod has significantly reduced those trips for me since I make sure that all of my family’s meals and household items are ordered each week. The time alone that it saves me is SO worth it! I’m starting to get to know the drivers, too, and they’re all so nice and have been really helpful. I was joking with one of them last week that he’d probably put my groceries away for me if I let him, haha! As it is, he carries them up my stairs and knows exactly where I want them left. It’s something I look forward to now and definitely a service I will continue to use for a very long time.
