Bacon Wrapped Scallops (with garlic butter!)

Welcome to an easy appetizer, served at our Five Ingredient Dinner Party! The key here is the garlic butter (IMHO), but you can decide for yourself. Try adding a good dose of freshly cracked pepper – it’s delish! And I haven’t tried it, but chipotle and brown sugar bacon would be pretty amazing!
Enjoy!
Bacon Wrapped Scallops with Garlic Butter
- 2 lbs regular slice bacon
- 2 lbs scallops (cut in half if they’re very large)
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
Directions
Cut bacon strips in half. Wrap a piece of bacon around each scallop; secure with toothpick. Arrange the wrapped scallops on a baking sheet. Broil 5 inches from heat until bacon is crisp; turn over and crisp the other side. Melt butter in saute pan; add garlic and saute one minute. Remove scallops from oven, place on serving tray and drizzle with garlic butter. YUM.

Tried it out… SCRUMPTOUS!
Awesome!! Thanks for letting me know, Dave! :-)
Trying these out tomorrow woman :)
You'll love them! Good choice for Easter dinner…or a hot date…or just because they're yummy and you want to treat yourself. Maybe I should make them tomorrow, too; Alan is a serious scallops lover. Have a great Easter!
They were a huge hit. My pop was wolfing them down even before I could get the garlic butter on them :)
Bacon should be a seperate food group!
