I am terrible at stuffing chicken breasts. I pound out the chicken, make the stuffing, add said stuffing to said chicken, and things roll along pretty smoothly. Then...the stuffing never, ever stays where it's supposed to. It inevitably oozes out the sides and all over the pan. I know, I know...toothpicks should do the trick, right? Sadly, not in my case. I'm hopelessly stuffing-challenged.

Leave it to Buitoni to come up with an even easier way to host a dinner party. Buitoni provided us with their frozen pasta meals for two, then asked if I'd create some salads to accompany the pasta. And of course, we had to invite some friends to share it all with!

Welcome to an easy appetizer, served at our Five Ingredient Dinner Party! The key here is the garlic butter (IMHO), but you can decide for yourself. Try adding a good dose of freshly cracked pepper (or use pepper-crusted bacon). And I haven't tried it, but chipotle and brown sugar bacon would be pretty amazing! But then how can you go wrong with bacon, scallops, butter and garlic? :-)

Throwing a dinner party can be stressful, time consuming and expensive. That's why for this month's Foodbuzz 24 proposal I thought a Five-Ingredient Dinner Party was in order. Every dish at our party had five or less ingredients, from appetizer down to dessert!
