I’ve tasted Sasquatch…and he’s delicious!
One of the sentences I never thought I’d actually utter at any point during my lifetime? “Damn, that was some fine Sasquatch meat!” But life is weird and wonderful, so sasquatch meat it is.
Doug, a super cool guy over at jerky.com, first approached me about trying some of their delicious jerky a few weeks ago. I’m a serious meat lover, and jerky is no exception, so of course I jumped at the chance. It was business as usual…until he mentioned Sasquatch.
Personally, I’ve always wondered about Sasquatch – or Bigfoot, as I grew up calling him – and the likelihood of his existence. Scientists are constantly discovering new species from every corner of the planet, and it never seemed that outrageous that a reclusive beast might very well live in the mountains and blend in with nature to the point that he might never be seen. So it really didn’t surprise me much to find out that Sasquatch is now on the menu…and very delicious!
This was actually the most tender jerky I’d ever had. I’m not sure if it’s the Sasquatch meat itself or how they marinate it, but the meat wasn’t too chewy and the flavors lovely. It’s extremely expensive due to the limited quantities – well out of my tiny budget, although they do throw in free shipping – but if you’re hungry to taste an urban myth turned reality, then I highly suggest trying a bag before they’re out of sight again.

Ah, the inevitable April Fool's Day posts. This is a nice one though since it links to another site. Well done!
Check out the story that we worked with jerky.com to write about how the sasquatch jerky came to be.

This product I have not seen yet, but so many chocolates are hitting the market in the past year…and I love chocolate!
That's hilarious! I like jerky too. That's so cool that you've been getting so much stuff sent to you!
Okay, okay, so obviously this is an April Fool's joke…but Doug from jerky.com strong-armed me into it! ;-) Actually, it was pretty fun coming up with it since I always seem to let April 1st come and go, and always wish I'd thought up some little prank in advance. So Happy April Fool's Day everyone! I hope you have a great one!
Ha! I so wish this wasn't an April Fool's joke because I love the concept behind this (well, not the $499 a bag pricetag, of course). The possibilities are endless, really. Godzilla jerky anyone? Hilarious post!
