We had SO much fun testing out the new family-size skillet meals from P.F. Chang’s Home Menu this past weekend!
The girls and I invited over a few friends, set out some of our favorite beverages and pulled out a few skillets for some authentic, easy, make-at-home Chinese food.
For the adults, I put out some beer, wine and the mixings for a few cocktails. My girls thought they were spoiled with different flavored sodas (they chose pomegranate, clementine and lemon) which went great with a little vodka and fresh mint for the grownups. I tried them all with our Chinese food spread, and my favorite was definitely an ice cold beer. It went perfectly with this Orange Chicken!
After everyone left, I asked the girls if they enjoyed the food. Kylie gave me a thumbs-up and Katie said “No”. I turned around and said, “Really? I thought it was so good!” To which she replied, “No, sorry, I meant I want you to buy some again soon!” Her initial response had me a little shocked since she had THREE helpings :)
I was so happy they enjoyed it as much as I did since these are SO EASY to make! Seriously…even simpler than other frozen skillet meals I’ve tried (and DEFINITELY better tasting). You just put the entire bag in a skillet, cover and stir occasionally. Not even a separate sauce pack to open and mix in. We’ll definitely be celebrating Wok Wednesday with these easy skillet meals. The vegetables were still crisp, the sauces had bold flavor and my kitchen smelled wonderful!
