Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner!
Shredded Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches with Blue Cheese Celery Slaw, to be exact!
After not receiving any word yesterday about the winners in the Saucy Mama Extraordinary Condiment Contest, I’d assumed that some other lucky blogger had submitted the winning recipe. Off I went to “Back to School Night” – one of the first events I’ve had going on in the evening in a super long time – and apparently missed THE call from Ms. Suzie Barhyte herself and Ms. Kelly Mooney – a fabulously great gal who I really wish I’d had the chance to speak with “in person”! Happily, when they couldn’t reach me, Kelly sent an email giving me the exciting news – that The Wicked Noodle is THE GRAND PRIZE WINNER in their awesome recipe contest!
I’m over the moon – really! My recipe will be featured on their wing sauce bottle nationwide, in addition to a couple of super groovy prizes! I encourage you to try their sauces – they’ve got great flavor, which made creating recipes for the contest that much easier. Congratulations!!! This is for sure an exciting win:) With all the rave reviews, I'm going to have to try this…can you recommend an alternative to blue cheese for this that you think would go well?
Me again – had to tell ya, felt inspired by your recipe and made something totally different -in a saucepan – I shredded my leftover rotisserie chicken, added some hot wing sauce, cream cheese and a little bit of sharp cheddar cheese – put it on soft corn tortillas and then sprinkled crushed up xochil tortilla chips on top:) It was good- hubby and I gobbled it up – pretty much tasted like Chilaquiles. I'm totally making HWsauce chilaquiles if they have this contest again! :)
