What if I told you it’s incredibly simple to make an omelet, crispy bacon and hot, delicious coffee in the span of about ten minutes?
Before I elaborate on that, can I just say that I have been in LOVE with OXO products for as long as I can remember? Was there even life before OXO?? Ever since I tried their pineapple slicer (I was convinced it would be a gadget that would be worthless), I’ve been hooked. I’ve never tested an OXO product I didn’t love. Of course, I use some more than others but they’ve all been high-quality and actually work.
The latest products I’ve been using make it so that I can have an entire breakfast on the table in about ten minutes! Here’s the list and descriptions of the four products I use:
- Microwave Bacon Crisper – makes bacon quickly, safely and in just a few simple steps. The adjustable kickstand allows grease to drain into the built-in reservoir for healthier, crispier bacon in minutes. The silicone cooking surface and drain lid are each removable, easy to clean and work together to prevent splatter.
- Microwave Omelet Maker – helps you create a delicious fluffy omelet in three minutes or less. The open design and rounded corners promote even cooking for classic, folded, diner-style omelets. The large-capacity Omelet Maker holds enough ingredients for 2- and 3-egg omelets, and folds and locks closed for steaming veggies before adding your eggs.
- Adjustable Temperature Kettle – you can select the precise temperature for your tea or coffee by simply twisting the knob. Choose any temperature between 170 and 212°F, and the water is heated and held at your preferred temperature for up to 30 minutes. Using each of these products couldn’t be simpler! I start with filling the kettle with cold water. While that’s heating, I put my bacon on the crisper.
Then I get my eggs ready to go.
By now the water is usually boiling, so I get my coffee going next. I add my coffee grounds first.
Then assemble and pour over my boiling water from the kettle!
At this point, the bacon is crispy and hot!
Next I put my eggs in the microwave. 2 1/2 minutes later, my eggs are done, too!
Gotta have some cheese…
I close up my omelet maker and give it time to melt the cheese while I get everything else ready. Or I’ll pop it in the microwave for 10-15 seconds if I just can’t wait any longer.
That’s IT! So simple, right? The best part is that my girls use both the bacon crisper and the omelet maker for themselves. Busy weekday mornings may never be the same again :)
