Welcome to an easy appetizer, served at our Five Ingredient Dinner Party! The key here is the garlic butter (IMHO), but you can decide for yourself. Try adding a good dose of freshly cracked pepper, too. And I haven’t tried it, but chipotle and brown sugar bacon would be pretty amazing!
Bacon Wrapped Scallops with Garlic Butter
- 2 lbs regular slice bacon
- 2 lbs scallops (cut in half if they’re very large)
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
Directions
Cut bacon strips in half. Wrap a piece of bacon around each scallop; secure with toothpick. Arrange the wrapped scallops on a baking sheet. Broil 5 inches from heat until bacon is crisp; turn over and crisp the other side. Melt butter in saute pan; add garlic and saute one minute. Remove scallops from oven, place on serving tray and drizzle with garlic butter. YUM.

You'll love them! Good choice for Easter dinner...or a hot date...or just because they're yummy and you want to treat yourself. Maybe I should make them tomorrow, too; Alan is a serious scallops lover. Have a great Easter!
