Amazing Cheetos Chicken Wings Recipe (4 Seasonings)

We didn’t know what to expect but once we made these incredible chicken wings with four cheesy flavors, we couldn’t stop eating them. Making Cheetos chicken wings couldn’t be easier and the only difficult part is deciding which flavor you like best.

How To Get Cheetos Powder

It’s simple, just purchase a box of your favorite Cheetos Mac n Cheese flavor and remove the cheese packet from the box. Each Cheetos packet contains a 3 tablespoons Cheetos powder and here are the flavors to choose from:

  • Mac ‘n Cheese Bold & Cheesy
  • Mac ‘n Cheese FLAMIN’ HOT
  • Mac ‘n Cheese Cheesy Jalapeño
  • Mac ‘n Cheese Cheesy Ranch

We served these at a Super Bowl party, with jalapeño and ranch emerging as crowd favorites, and a few adventurous souls opting for the FLAMIN’ HOT variety. Bold & Cheesy received less applause, but would work well as a base seasoning, where additional spices could be added into to the cheese mix to customize the flavor to your liking.

Cheetos Chicken Wings Ingredients

  • Chicken wings – I used pre-cut party wings already separated into wingettes and drumettes. However, if you prefer whole wings, use them whole or simply remove the wing tip and cut vertically through the joint, discarding the wing tip.
  • Oil – I use olive oil but any type of vegetable oil will work.
  • Mac ‘n Cheese Seasoning – Choose your favorite or choose all four.

Refer to the recipe card below for a complete list of ingredients with measurements.

How To Make Cheetos Wings

This Cheetos wings recipe can also be used as a seasoning on chicken thighs, drumsticks or breasts. It’s not just limited to chicken as well, use it as a mix, rub, or coating on a variety of meats and seafood such as steak, pork, hamburger, shrimp, or fish.

  1. Dry the Wings: The dryer the chicken skin, the better it will crisp when cooked. Blot the wings with a paper towel and press down on the wings to absorb even more moisture.
  2. Toss with Oil: Toss with a little oil so the skin crisps up beautifully and dry rub sticks to the wings.
  3. Season: Lightly season the wings with the Cheetos seasoning flavor of your choice.
  4. Arrange: Place the wings on a wire rack in a single layer with the skin side up.
  5. Bake at a High Heat: Bake until well-browned, and extra crispy.
