Let’s start with the Breakfast Burrito.
I’ve had many breakfast burritos in my time, especially since I lived in Orange County, CA for sixteen years where people know how to make them.
The Breakfast Burrito at The Cheesecake Factory is easily one of the best I’ve ever had.
It’s not a new menu item but it has been recently revamped. I’m not sure what it tasted like before, but I do know that it’s perfection now. Everyone at our table loved it, especially Kylie, my 13-year-old. She took one bite and said, “We have to come back here!!”
She’s right, we do. And we absolutely will! I brought along my boyfriend Rob, our good friend Lara, her son Ethan and, of course, my beautiful girls, Kylie and Katie. This was a paid assignment but had I known what an exceptional time we would have, I would have done it for free (shhhh).
I’ve given a lot of thought to how a few words on paper can convey what a special experience this was. It was one of those rare meals where everything shined: the food, the service, the warmth and professionalism of the staff. Every person I encountered had a smile and was eager to share their pride for this company.
But let’s get back to the food for now. I am in no way exaggerating when I say that everything was outstanding. We sampled some longtime menu items and some of their new offerings, too, such as the Cheeseburger Eggrolls (which taste exactly like a juicy cheeseburger) and Pork Belly Sliders (slices of slow-roasted smoked pork belly with barbecue sauce, cole slaw and topped with fried pickles). SO GOOD!
Another new item we tried is the Stuffed Cheddar Burger. I thought we might skip that and go for a more unique choice of their new items, but I tasted it during a tour of the prep kitchen and knew that Rob had to have it (he loves a good burger).
I didn’t know it, but The Cheesecake Factory also serves a great brunch! We tried a few of their brunch items, like their Cinnamon Roll Pancakes (so fantastic that I took the leftovers home; they were delicious reheated), french toast and chicken & waffles. We paired all that will a few mimosas and we were in BRUNCH HEAVEN.
One of the most surprising things I learned is that they make all 250 items on their menu from scratch every single day, in all The Cheesecake Factory restaurants! I was able to tour the prep kitchen and watch the staff in action, and it was really something to see. What impressed me the most, however, was how proud and happy everyone was! It was clear that The Cheesecake Factory has employees who not only love their jobs but who are proud to be part of something special.
My experience at The Cheesecake Factory was so wonderful that afterward, I sent an email to the public relations firm. It was important to me that they know what an incredible staff I encountered, the pride they clearly have and – most importantly – the impeccable service (thanks, Jimmy!!) and the outstanding food they gave us. And I’d like to personally thank Rick Osorio, Shawn Holland, Rolando Montoya and Jimmy (I didn’t get a last name, sorry!) for sharing their professionalism, warmth and enthusiasm with us. We all agreed that based on this exceptional visit, we will be back to visit The Cheesecake Factory again and again!
