This hummus dip is one of those head-slapping recipes that I can’t believe I didn’t think of a long time ago.

Thank my lucky stars for Safeway, who partnered up with me for this post and without whom I never would have thought up this easy after-school snack.
It’s not that I’ve never made a hummus dip before. For years I’ve been making variations of my Greek and Mexican versions, and I’m a big fan of dicing up the veggies left in my fridge and calling it hummus dip. But it wasn’t until I saw Safeway’s O Organics® Hummus Singles that it occurred to me to make individual hummus dips just for my girls.
Anytime I can get extra veggies in them is a good day.

The best part is that they already like to make them on their own. No help from Mom? No questions of “what can I have for a snack” or declarations that “I can’t find anything to eat”? That’s a serious Mom win.
You don’t have to make this hummus dip just for an after-school snack, either. Fill a baking dish with hummus and top it with your favorite diced veggies. I started this hummus dip recipe with the O Organics Tabouli Hummus which added so much flavor! “Plain” hummus will work just fine, too, and if you pick up the O Organics Hummus Party Sized hummus, you can take it to a party and have plenty for everyone!

I mentioned that I buy all of my O Organics products at my local Safeway (they’re available in my area exclusively at Safeway stores). I’ll go out of my way to get to a Safeway if I have to; it’s my favorite store! But if you don’t live near a Safeway, no worries. You can find all of these affordable and USDA certified O Organics products exclusively at all of the Albertsons Companies family of stores, including Albertsons, ACME Markets, Jewel-Osco, Vons, Pavilions, Randalls, Tom Thumb, Shaw’s, Star Market, and Carrs/Safeway.
So no excuses not to make this delicious hummus dip!
IS HUMMUS DIP HEALTHY?
Hummus dip is one of the healthier snacks and dips around, especially when you load it up with freshly diced fruits and vegetables. Hummus itself is a good source of protein and fiber, so pile up those veggies and be confident that you’re giving your kiddos something they’ll both love and is good for them.
