The new ready-to-cook entrées (in oven-safe packaging!) from Wegmans are about to make

The first time I visited a Wegmans was in Rochester, NY. I was there for work and we were doing a class on customer service. Part of the class was to go to their local Wegmans and experience the exceptional service.
We weren’t disappointed. I was amazed at not just the service, but the entire store was like nothing I had ever seen (and I was coming from Southern CA)! The produce! The bakery! The meats! They even had employees who would help you to your car and load the groceries into the trunk.
When I moved to Northern VA ten years ago, I was thrilled to discover a Wegmans not far from me. So when Wegmans contacted me to ask me if I was interested in hearing about their new ready-to-cook meat entrées in oven-safe packaging, I couldn’t say “YES!” fast enough. I’ve tried their ready-to-eat meals many times and have never been disappointed.
When I found out that these new ready-to-cook entrées were able to be baked right in their oven-safe packaging, I couldn’t believe it! I’d never heard of such a thing.
The packaging was tested at Rochester Institute of Technology and Virginia Tech and proven food-safe – and it’s made without any added BPA.
These meat and poultry entrées stay fresh up to two weeks in the refrigerator or they can go right into the freezer. Seafood entrées come frozen and go straight from the freezer to the oven, cooking in 40 minutes or less. These entrées are:

I chose the Ready-To-Cook Chicken with Craft Beer BBQ Sauce to try first. Tender chicken raised without antibiotics gets zesty flavor from savory-sweet BBQ sauce blended with craft beer and whole-grain mustard. It is to die for! It’s perfect served with whipped potatoes and roasted broccoli. Which I also picked up at Wegmans. The entire meal took me less than ten minutes active time to make, and everyone loved it! We even have leftovers for tomorrow!
Why so fast? Here’s all you have to do
Remove the labels per package directions – no need to even cut slits in the bag. Place the closed vacuum-sealed bag in a baking pan on your oven’s center rack (some entrées also have slow cooker instructions). When it’s done, just peel back the film (I cut mine open which was so simple) and serve! The baking dish that doubled as my serving dish was SO much easier to clean.
Next up I’ll be trying the freezer-to-oven seafood entrées. If I can stop myself from having the Chicken with Craft Beer BBQ again!16
