These easy, delectable keto cookies are perfect for everything from Christmas to every day. From Chocolate Chip to Almond Joy to Cinnamon Swirl, there are keto cookies here for everyone!
When we started our keto journey a few months ago, keto cookies weren’t something I would have thought existed. And, if they did, I never dreamed there would be recipes out there that would be as good as – and sometimes even better – than “regular” cookies.
What is Keto?
The ketogenic diet or keto diet is one where you eat very few carbs, no sugar, high fat and moderate protein. All of these keto cookie recipes are within the macros for the keto diet. Keep in mind that everyone’s macro requirements are different, so enjoy within your personal limits.
How to Make Keto Cookies
In most cases, making keto cookies is the same as making regular cookies except keto cookies keto cookies use high-fat and low-carb ingredients, typically containing fewer than 5 grams of net carbs per serving. The ingredients will differ – such as Stevia or erythritol instead of cane sugar and almond flour or coconut flour instead of all-purpose flour – but the method is typically the same.
Take the Keto Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe below, for example. You’ll cream butter and erythritol, just like you’d cream butter and granulated sugar for a non-keto cookie. Mix in a flour mixture, then stir in chocolate chips (although, in this case, the chocolate chips are stevia sweetened). The end result is a tender, delectable keto chocolate chip cookie that almost melts in your mouth!
This list of keto friendly cookies recipes fits that bill and then some. Give them a try now, pin them for later or bookmark this page so you can come back again and again.
Keto Cookies Texture and Taste
While every keto cookie recipe brings their own unique texture and taste, the differing ingredients often lead different tastes compared to traditional cookie recipes. The natural sweeteners may result in a bitter or mild aftertaste to some individuals. The use of almond or coconut flour might introduce a nutty or coconut flavor and the texture may be crumbly, softer, or denser compared to traditional cookies. Fortunately, many of these recipes account for these differences resulting in delicious cookies that are low in carbs and no sugar but also offer their own unique, tasty experience.

Erythritol as with other sugar alcohols causes IBS with many people unlike the various forms of stevia.
