These Bacon Wrapped Smokies have just 3 ingredients and they’re so simple to throw together. Double the batch, they fly off the tray!
If you’ve never had Bacon Wrapped Smokies in your life then I’m especially glad you’re here.
Bacon Wrapped Smokies are the perfect party food. Just 3 ingredients, they take only a few minutes to make and everyone always loves them! The three ingredients are bacon and smokies (of course) that are rolled in brown sugar. What makes them so special is that the brown sugar caramelizes and gives the bacon a candied texture. Some of it also melts and makes a sweet sauce that is irresistible.
I like to use maple bacon for my smokies but regular will work just fine if that’s what you prefer or have on hand. The maple adds a nice flavor to them but you really can’t go wrong either way. Bacon, smokies, brown sugar…it’s all good!
I even made a super quick video to show you how simple making Bacon Wrapped Smokies really is! If you like to watch food videos like the one below, be sure to subscribe to my YouTube Channel. I have plenty of new videos coming your way. Videography is new to me but I’m having fun with it and I think you’ll really like my channel!
These Bacon Wrapped Smokies are perfect for a football bash, a backyard barbecue or even just a fun family treat. I told you how my sister always makes Pigs in a Blanket, right? (Which is hilarious because she always serves the most upscale food and right alongside it will be a huge tray filled with ’em!) Well, these are my contribution to the lil’smokies party food train. They’re SO good, you’re going to love them!

Bacon Wrapped Smokies
Ingredients
- 1 package Lil' Smokies
- 1 pound maple bacon, cut crosswise into thirds (regular bacon works fine, too, just don't use thick-cut)
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar

- Preheat oven to 400F.
- Put brown sugar in a small shallow dish. Add a slice of bacon, pressing down to adhere sugar. Roll up a lil' smokie in the bacon and place on a baking sheet (line it with foil first for easier cleanup). Repeat with all ingredients.
- Bake smokies for 25 minutes. Turn on broiler and crisp bacon a little more if necessary. Serve immediately.
