Easy Halloween Treats for Everyone

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Safeway. All opinions are 100% mine.

Halloween may have moved on but I couldn’t pass up the chance to tell you about how much fun it was for us here in VA. It seems we all need ways to make 2020 go a bit easier and this is my Halloween secret weapon to easy and delicious!

We have so much going on in the days leading up to Halloween: costumes, candy-planning, decorating, and, of course, food! This year I wanted to keep things as simple and stress-free as possible, so I turned to Safeway to help make that happen.

From the large selection of candy choices to the less-than-a-minute antipasto tray I put together, this Halloween was a breeze. I literally spent about 5 minutes total getting all of our candy and snacks set out for everyone to nibble on.

The freshly-made salsa from Safeway is so flavorful and it’s packed incredibly tight to maintain its freshness. I bought mine two full days before opening and it was still so fresh! I love that it doesn’t have that store-bought salsa taste; I could have made it myself just minutes before. I use this salsa for snacking but also in many of my recipes. You can’t beat the flavor or the convenience.

I also picked up a package with two different types of salami, little crackers and sliced cheese. I knew this was something everyone could grab between doorbell rings or when they came back inside after trick-or-treating. I added some olives to round things out (jalapeño-stuffed because we’re heat lovers).

It was a perfect size as it lasted just until the night was winding down when it was candy time. All I had to do was open the package and place it on the serving board, which took less than a minute. And it was absolutely delicious!

Last, but definitely not least, are the Halloween cupcakes! These were the star of the show and were so fun to plate. The decorations can be saved for next year and will be great for decorating a cake or cookies or even added to a fun grab bag. The cupcakes themselves were super moist and had been freshly-baked that morning. We opted for 10 white and 10 chocolate, all which disappeared before Halloween night was even half over.

I ordered our cupcakes online to be delivered the morning of Halloween. Everything else arrived a few days before so I could be sure I had everything ready. You can pick up in-store, too, which I do when I’m able to. Safeway offers Grocery Delivery and DriveUp & Go™ for convenient ways to shop! I’ve only used delivery so far but it’s been a snap. My groceries have always arrived quickly. It really makes my life so much easier, especially since I can order and have it delivered at my convenience.

Safeway made our Halloween so stress-free, I’m so thankful to have them here in VA. (I shopped at Safeway in my local area, but you can also find quality game day products at the Albertsons Companies family of stores, including Albertsons, ACME Markets, Jewel-Osco, Vons, Randalls, Shaw’s Supermarket, Star Market, and Tom Thumb.) Wherever you happen to live, there’s sure to be an Albertsons Companies location near you!
