A Safeway Thanksgiving

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Safeway. All opinions are 100% mine.

Thanksgiving may look a bit different for many of us this year.

We’re actually having two celebrations, the first of which is at our home with just my girls. Cooking even one holiday meal can feel daunting, so I thought it was a good idea to try ordering in this year.

You should know by now how much I love Safeway products, their easy online ordering process, and how much stress-relief that’s brought on many occasions. During the (arguably) most stressful time of the year, it made perfect sense to rely on my local Safeway once more.

I ordered a complete Thanksgiving meal online for the first time in my life. It was one click to choose which meal we wanted, plus one more for a pumpkin pie to go with it. Our meal included a fully-cooked turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, cornbread stuffing, cranberry sauce and dinner rolls.

It comes in a “meal kit” box with all the fixin’s inside. They also put it in a sturdy plastic bag so you can carry your entire holiday meal with ease!

It was perfection! All I had to do was heat our meal and serve it to my hungry family. I was able to give my family a fresh, delicious Thanksgiving meal and the best part was that – for the first time ever – I wasn’t exhausted from cooking all day by the time we ate.

I made sure to get a closeup shot of the turkey so you can see the spices and just how delicious it looks!

Our first meal was so successful that I’m considering doing the same thing again for the second. We’re serving a lot more people, so I’ll be picking up some of Safeway’s fresh green beans to make my popular Blue Cheese Green Bean Casserole to go with it. I probably wouldn’t even need to do so (I have a history of always making too much food) but since the meal will be already done for me, what’s one little side dish?

I can’t stress enough how much we all enjoyed our meal as well as how much more time to just relax it afforded us. If you want to spend minimal time in the kitchen this Thanksgiving and let Safeway do the hard work for you? Order your entire Thanksgiving meal ahead online at All you have to do is order online, pick it up in-store, heat, and enjoy!

I shopped at Safeway in my local area, but you can also find quality game day products at the Albertsons Companies family of stores, including Albertsons, ACME Markets, Jewel-Osco, Vons, Randalls, Shaw’s Supermarket, Star Market, and Tom Thumb. Order ahead  Safeway also offers Grocery Delivery and DriveUp & Go™ for convenient ways to shop!
